Pics galore
Lookin through some of the pics in my laptop..and developed a sudden urge to share them. Haha, enjoy:) And Happy New Year! (which means school's starting soon again, sucks...)

Our spacious hotel room at Holiday Inn Resort.

The hot and stuffy train up to Penang Hill.

Saw this dog when we reached the top of Penang Hill. Couldn't resist taking a few pics of it.

Me at the top:)

The authentic Penang Laksa..which was alright...

My sketch of Wentworth..hee

Some design assignment during the sem. Regarded it as one of the best work of mine I submitted for the module...

Some other design project we had. This was done by someone else and was the best, in my opinion...

Same design project but submitted by a different person...

IT'S PUSHING DAISIES:)
(disclaimer: pic is not mine, it was stolen from someone else's livejournal)

Oh my, was considering uploading a smaller picture, but this show definitely deserves better than that! It's the new show i'm hooked onto..PUSHING DAISIES! Witty, hilarious, eccentric, sweet, mysterious...in other words, highly recommended! Sadly, only 9 episodes have been aired to date due to the sudden writers' strike in the States. Anyway, show's about this piemaker who posesses some strange ability to touch and revive something from the dead. However, the hook is if something that got revived stays alive for more than a minute, something else nearby will have to go instead. Touch it again, and the thing stays dead forever. Basically, the piemaker meets a private investigator who knows this secret and makes use of him to solve murder mysteries and hence splits the rewards they get. Along the way, he revives his childhood sweetheart from the dead but he's unable to touch her anymore.
hee...fav show at the moment:)
oh, and i discovered some funny quotes. haha, so cool...
"Marriage is one of the chief causes of divorce."
"I'm inconsistent, but not all the time."
I am truly bored this hols...

just another update..

One of the pics i took in penang, where i spent, well, 3 days with my parents walking around. Nothing much to do really, but the food was cheap and good.

Kinda just whiling my time away after last week. Hmm...managed to finish reading 19 minutes, the Jodi Picoult book that mabel gave. It was a really good, insightful, and well, tragic story. Ha, no wonder...i'm kinda attracted to sad, tragic stories, songs, movies...
Hmm..may decide to share some of my insights if i can gather my random and incoherent thoughts that love to run wild in my mind these days.
Finished reading Freakonomics i got some time ago too, which was alright...

Anyway, Christmas is coming, something i don't celebrate, still...Merry Christmas in advance to all:)

think this will be an incoherent post. and a post since a long while. just a way to recap or sum up the semester perhaps. hmm...okay, realised i don't know where to start.
ah..a picture always helps. our water wheel! essentially a device we (the 5 of us) designed and built for a project requiring us to enable a ball to bounce back and forth over a barrier 5 times. performance was alright. nothing spectacular i guess. but it was an achievement when we worked on it from morning till the demonstration the morning of the next day, almost non-stop, without sleeping.
guess it was a pretty hectic sem. there wasn't much alone time for myself. now that sem's over, i just wanna chill, slack, have time all to myself. no more slogging. hence, won't allow myself to be tied down to a job.
thinking through..realised i've grown much more over the course of this one sem, than others. accomplished, braved through things i've never thought i would be able to. i got through my scholarship interview, secured the 3k. though it may partly be due to my good grades, the fact that i'm one of the few girls in engineering, especially mech.
pushed through project deadlines, rushed to finish studying for tests, scurried from place to place, took up a cca commitment. and then the stressful periods coupled with emotional turmoil. learning to be more assertive, more confident, more socially adept perhaps. i still have a long way to go..
anyway, don't know who else is still reading this right now. just wanted to say thanks for making an impact on me this sem, for good or worse, for helping me survive the sem. even if it was a short conversation, i'm sure it helped in some way:)
